Newsletter
Launched in November 2022, I named my newsletter ‘Living Small’ after my first book, but also “living small” in a larger sense of living more lightly on the earth, having a “small” footprint, and making an impact on a local level. I’ve been writing about homes and sustainability professionally for 20+ years, but I was craving a more personal outlet to write about what sustainable living looks like for me and other everyday people—not hippies or billionaires.

What you’ll get each week. In each edition of Living Small, I write about one aspect of a sustainable lifestyle, including:
- small-space design
- all things secondhand
- unfussy plant-based cooking
- climate-friendly gardening
- local activism
Plus my general ethos of making do and mending instead of buying something new. I also share a few links that have caught my eye recently. I hope you’ll find something that piques your interest!
